Current Events International meetings of the memorial 2012 22 Mars 2012

March 22, 23 and 24, 2012

During the inauguration of the Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery in Nantes the first International Meetings of the Memorial took place at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne on March 22, 23 and 24.
The purpose of the meeting, which convened multidisciplinary researchers (In law, history, literature, philosophy), as well as artists and those involved in remembrance, was to revisit the long struggle for the abolition of the slave trade and of colonial slavery while debating contemporary issues.
