Current Events 10th anniversary of the Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery 11 Avril 2022
2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery.
Inaugurated on 25 March 2012, it is the only memorial dedicated to slavery in mainland France.
Designed by artists Julian Bonder and Krzysztof Wodiczko, it is a space for meditation and contemplation devoted to the millions of victims of the Atlantic slave trade.
It also celebrates the never-ending struggle, resistance, and fight for equality.
